Community Acupuncture is how we treat the majority of our clients because it addresses almost every health issue (“What Does it Treat?” PAGE located in ABOUT ACUPUNCTURE). Treatments use meridian theory and distal acupuncture so needles are mostly inserted into the extremities plus the ears (WHAT IS ACUPUNCTURE AND HOW DOES IT WORK PAGE).
Treatment is held within a group setting in comfortable recliners, located within a dimly lit room as ambient music plays in the background. Clients remain fully clothed while needles are applied to head, ears, arms and legs. It is a comfortable and effective method that can be gentle and extremely relaxing. Many patients find the collective healing energy of the community rooms to be extremely calming.
Community Acupuncture is appealing for a variety of reasons. For some, the value cannot be beat. For others, they are more comfortable sitting in a recliner than on a table and some patients find it a relief not to be isolated during treatment. Because there are three recliners per room, Community Acupuncture makes it easier for friends and family members to come in for treatment together.
